When the COVID-19 outbreak first started, we jumped into action for our customers and communities in a variety of ways. One of the most direct responses: Transitioning the C Spire Health app to triage Mississippians with coronavirus symptoms.
More than 34,000 Mississippians used our application for helpful information and more than 7,000 Mississippians received a free COVID-19 screening. The partnership with UMMC and the Mississippi Department of Health played a big role in flattening the curve for our home state. For anyone still in need of COVID-19 screening in the state, UMMC is now providing free COVID-19 telehealth screenings over the phone at 601-496-7200.
Meanwhile, we're getting ready for an exciting next phase of C Spire Health, working on new applications and many new service options.
